Modeling a bolt – Tutorial for beginner

In this step by step illustrated tutorial we are going to create a model of a bolt. Follow the steps as shown below.
 
Step One
Open “SolidWorks” application by double clicking the icon on desktop as shown in figure 1.

Step Two
When “SolidWorks” application opens, goto “File > New” as shown in figure 2.

Step Three
When you click on “File > New” menu, “New SolidWorks Document” dialog box opens as shown in figure 2. Select “Part” icon and click ok as shown below.

Step Four
You can see that a new part file will be opened as shown in figure 4.
