In this step by step illustrated tutorial we are going to create a model of a bolt. Follow the steps as shown below.

Step One |
Open “SolidWorks” application by double clicking the icon on desktop as shown in figure 1.

Step Two |
When “SolidWorks” application opens, goto “File > New” as shown in figure 2.

Step Three |
When you click on “File > New” menu, “New SolidWorks Document” dialog box opens as shown in figure 2. Select “Part” icon and click ok
as shown below.

Step Four |
You can see that a new part file will be opened as shown in figure 4.
