In this tutorial, we will make a simple reading table with chair and books using poly modeling. Start Maya. Select
“Polygon” menu-set at the top-left corner of Maya window (or Press “F3”). |

Step 1 |
In order to automatic creation of primitives, Click Create>Polygon Primitives>Interactive Creation to turn it OFF (if
it has been ON). |

Step 2 |
Click on “Polygon Cube” icon to have a poly cube box in the center of the view. |

Press 5 in the keyboard to enter into Shaded mode. With the Scale tool, scale it to X and Z axis (i.e. both
horizontally). |
