Step 3 |
I have opted for the ‘Copper Std’ font, and I have also reduced the size to 741pt. you can see that I have already changed the text quite a lot, but
there is a very simple way of doing this as you will see now. |

Step 4 |
At the bottom of the layers panel you will see a black circle with an ‘f’. Click this and a drop down menu will appear. This gives you access to the
layer styles dialogue box. First click on ‘color overlay’. When the screen pops up, click on the colored rectangle (usually red) to the right of ‘blend mode’, and a new screen appears. This
is the color picker, and allows you to choose whatever color you want. As this is a pink punk text tutorial, I’ve gone for…pink. |

Step 5 |
Now on to the Bevel and emboss, which gives the text its 3D appearance. You need to play around with the values in order to get the effect you
want. Here I made the shadow a little lighter by lowering the shadow mode opacity to 35%, and I made the highlights a little less pronounced by lowering the highlight mode opacity to
60%. The size of the bevel depends on the depth, size and to a certain extent, the soften values, so it is really up to you and the effect you want to achieve. |
