Click on the PATHS tab to access the path you have just created. CRTL click on the thumbnail to turn it into a selection. |

Back in the layers panel, we want to add some color to the shield. It doesn’t matter what color you use, as we are going to change it using the
layer styles tool. Hit SHIFT + F5 to bring up the fill screen and fill with black (or white, if you want). |

Layer styles are a great, easy way of giving effects to your Photoshop documents. First, click the little circle with an ‘f’ at the bottom of the layers
panel. A new drop down menu appears where you can choose what kind of effect you want. |
