Step 11 |
You now have to make the highlight. You have to create yet another layer (by pressing the already known Shift + Ctrl + N command). |

Step 12 |
Select the Freeform Pen (P) and before drawing, make sure that the “paths” options is selected instead of the default setting “shape layers”. Using
the freeform pen draw a weird circle around the top of your button. |

Step 13 |
After having drawn the freeform circle, right click on your mouse and from the menu that has appeared choose the “make selection” option, using
its default settings. |

Step 14 |
Create yet another layer (Shift + Ctrl + N) and make sure to fill the new selection with white too. Select “layer 1” by clicking it while holding the
Ctrl button. Now follow the next path Select > Modify > Contract and enter a value of 1. |

Step 15 |
After setting the contract value to 1, choose select > inverse. You can now delete “layer 2” by clicking it in the Layers Palette and deleting it. |

Step 16 |
You may have to click as much as three or four times the “delete” option after deleting “layer 2” to eliminate all the white areas in your created
button. However, make sure when clicking the delete button not to lose your selection. If you have done so, just press Ctrl + Z or Ctrl + Alt + Z to undo any action or step. Now reset
your colors by pressing the “D” and the “X” keys, in this order. |
