Step 16
For the cable base we’ll use nurbs. To create a cable for joystick draw a CV curve from nurbs menu and draw shape as shown in figure 16. Than press INSERT key which will allow you to move pivot point of your curve shape and place it on far left point of your curve shape. That will be center of rotation for revolve tool.

Step 17
Go to surfaces>surfaces/revolve, and revolve it around y axis. You’ll get shape that you aim for! You can still tweak curve shape which will make the nurbs part to follow your new curve at the same time. You can adjust revolved surface by modifying curve. Now move and place as shown in figure 17.

Step 18
To create rest of the cable, draw a curve that look like cable path and a circle which would be the cross section profile of the cable, select circle than SHIFT + LMB select curve then go to surfaces>surfaces/extrude. You will get extruded circle shape on nurbs curve path. Which would be similar to the one shown in figure 18.
